Już za trzy dni światowa premiera nowej wersji baletu Jezioro łabędzie w choreografii Krzysztofa Pastora dla Baletu Zachodnioaustralijskiego. Zaglądamy za kulisy gdzie pod okiem wybitnego polskiego choreografa trwają ostanie próby.

W tworzeniu tej wyjątkowej inscenizacji legendy ludu Noongar o czarnym łabędziu biorą udział rdzenni Australijczycy, którzy występują w niej również na scenie. Na dedykowanych nam zdjęciach można zobaczyć ostatnie próby i przepiękne kostiumy znanego angielskiego projektanta Charlesa Cusicka Smitha.

In the Black Swan’s Realm

With just three days to go until the world premiere of Krzysztof Pastor’s new Swan Lake for West Australian Ballet, we go behind the scenes to see how rehearsals are coming along under the celebrated Polish choreographer’s watchful eye.

This unique production incorporates the Noongar Black Swan Dance and is being created in collaboration with Australia’s First Nations people, who will also perform in the ballet. Taken during the final rehearsals, these exclusive photos show some of the stunning costumes by renowned British designer Charles Cusick Smith.

Our editor is heading to Perth to interview Pastor, and we look forward to learning more about this new-look Swan Lake in our next issue.
